<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam distributing device or an environment modification device constructed to be integrated with its environment in a low-profile manner. <P>SOLUTION: The steam distributing device or the other environment modification device is constructed to be integrated with a receptacle in a low-profile manner. In this embodiment, the environment modification device is constructed to imitate an electric receptacle having an outlet pattern. The environment modification device has an outlet pattern substantially corresponding to the outlet pattern of the electric receptacle and a front surface including a plug constructed to be connected to the electric receptacle. The device constructed to alternate one or more characteristics is arranged between the front surface and the plug pattern.
