<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator controller that can avoid troubles when some of the data become illegal data in a memory and make highly reliable control. <P>SOLUTION: Besides a program storing memory 2 which is a nonvolatile memory and stores the operation control processing program, a program execution memory 3 which is a volatile memory 3 is provided to carry out the operation control processing program, and the program execution memory 3 is constantly verified and checked to prevent illegal data in it. When an error is found, the program data in the program memory 2 are transferred to the program execution memory 3 while confirming that the elevator stops.
