<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing xylylenediamine by hydrogenating cyanobenzene, recovering a catalyst activity reduced by being used in a reaction, regenerating the catalyst to a re-usable state and re-using it as a cyanobenzene hydrogenation catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing xylylenediamine by hydrogenating cyanobenzene in the presence of the catalyst in a liquid phase is characterized by bringing the catalyst of which activity is decreased by using the hydrogenation reaction of the cyanobenzene, in contact with hydrogen-containing gas in 200-500°C temperature range while controlling≤40°C/min temperature-elevating rate of the catalyst during the contacting period with the hydrogen-containing gas as the regenerating treatment, and then re-using it as the catalyst in the reaction system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
