<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that can be improved in luminous efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This light emitting device condenses the light emitted from a blue LED 25 by reflecting the light by means of a first reflector 12. Then the device irradiates the condensed light upon a phosphor layer 18a through the light transmitting holes 35 of a second reflector 16 provided at the condensed position of the light. The phosphor layer 18a contains a phosphor 18 and is provided at a specific area of a translucent resin 30 irradiated with a part of the light transmitted through the light transmitting holes 35. This device is constituted to reflect the light scattered on the opposite side of an observation surface by the phosphor 18 to the observation surface side by a reflection mirror. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
