PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maximum vehicle speed limiting device capable of improving operability when an input side operation amount is transmitted to an output side and increasing the degree of freedom of a mounted position. SOLUTION: An operation amount limiting mechanism 2 limits a vehicle speed by restricting the throttle opening of a carburetor 21 so that the vehicle speed does not exceed a maximum vehicle speed set by a set knob 41. The operation amount limiting mechanism 2 comprises an upper side pulley 8 connected to an accelerator pedal 3 and a lower side pulley 9 connected to the carburetor 21. A cam 33 is mechanically connected to the lower side pulley 9, and an upper side stopper 34 is formed in the cam 33. On the other hand, a cam 35 is connected to the output shaft 20a of a stepping motor 20, and a lower side stopper 36 is formed in the cam 35. Then, since the stepping motor 20 is rotated by specified turns until the lower stopper 36 comes into contact with the upper side stopper 34, the throttle opening of the carburetor 21 is restricted to limit the vehicle speed.
