PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of an auxiliary locking device for a sliding door by superposing a lock plate on an attachment plate part of a lock plate without providing a lock plate exclusive energizing means. SOLUTION: The auxiliary locking device for the sliding door is provided with the attachment plate part 4 which can be attached to an indoor side face of an indoor sliding door 2, a link member 5 with a base end part pivotally attached to one end part of the attachment plate part 4 in a state energized in a direction superposing on the attachment plate part 4, a lock plate 6 with a base end part pivotally attached to a tip of the link member 5, and a latch part 7 provided on the attachment plate part 4 for detachably latching a tip of the lock plate 6. When the tip of the lock plate 6 is latched on the latch part 7, the lock plate 6 slants with respect to the attachment plate part 4, and the link member 5 is erected toward an indoor side. A regulating member 22 is provided for regulating exceeding over 180°of an angle comprised by an inner face of the lock plate 6 and an inner face of the link member 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
