PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel segment increased in the rigidity of the steel segment, reduced in weight and lowering cost. SOLUTION: A vertical rib 13 is bent and formed in an L-shape having an outside diameter 13a and an inside diameter 13b, and when it is placed in the direction of an axis between main girder plates 12 opposed to each other, the inside diameter 13b is extended to the same position as the front end of each main girder plate 12 and is fixed. When the end of the outside diameter 13a of the vertical rib 13 is welded in a state of abutting on the inside of a skin plate 11, the front end of the inside diameter 13b is welded to the main girder plate 12 in a state of coinciding with the same position as the front end of the main girder plate 12 and is fixed.
