PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a construction cost at a low value, to prevent the disturbance of the flow of water under an open state, to reduce the possibility of damage to a gate body and to prevent the application of a load at one place at water pressure in the case of a closed state and facilitate maintenance and management. SOLUTION: A ring gate body 3 with right and left rings 21 and an arcuate gate 22 mounted astride to the rings 21 is installed to an approximately rectangular sectional water-way component 2 formed of right and left side walls 10A and 10B arranged at an interval and a bottom 11 connecting the lower sections of the right and left side walls. Ring-shaped gate grooves 14 are formed on internal surfaces of the side walls respectively, and the rings 21 of the ring gate body are housed in the gate grooves. A drive mechanism rotating and driving the rings and opening and closing the gate is disposed to at least one of the side walls. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
