PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a windowpane from becoming dimmed in an air-conditioning device for a vehicle with a structure which permits air to be sent from an upper surface portion of an instrument panel in a vent mode, a bi-level mode or the like. SOLUTION: In this air-conditioning device for the vehicle, having a warm-air main passage which makes air passing through a heat exchanger for cooling pass a heat exchanger for heating and guides the air to a downstream side, a cool-air main passage which makes the air bypass the heat exchanger for heating and guides the air to the downstream side, and an air mix door which is disposed between the heat exchanger for cooling and the heat exchanger for heating and adjusts the rate between air flowing through the cool-air main passage and air flowing through the warm-air main passage, a defrost passage formed on a near side to the cool-air main passage, a vent passage formed on the near side to the warm-air main passage, a soft diffusion passage formed between the defrost passage and the vent passage and guiding the air blown from an upper surface portion of the instrument panel, and the warm-air main passage guiding the air crossing the cold-air main passage and flowing through the warm-air main passage to the defrost passage side are provided at an air-conditioning device case.
