<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical microscope capable of performing excellent observation by making sufficient illumination light reach an operation part even when an observer is to treat the operation part of the deep bottom especially without inviting the loss of the illumination light or the enlargement of the microscope. <P>SOLUTION: A stereomicroscope is provided with an illumination optical system 7 having a projection optical system for image-forming a luminous flux from a light source part 13 once for irradiating an observation object 2 with the luminous flux from the light source part and an observation optical system having an objective lens 1 whose focus position is the observation object, a pair of left and right variable power optical systems 3 capable of changing the observation magnification of the observation object and a pair of left and right eyepiece optical systems 4. The center position O of the light source part is made eccentric to the optical axis of the illumination optical system so as to move the luminous flux of the illumination optical system in a vertical direction to a plane including two observation optical axes of the variable power optical systems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
