PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to perform data communication only with a desired communication terminal in a simple operation. SOLUTION: Hands-free communication equipment 20 has an electric field strength measurement section 204 for measuring the reception electric field strength from a cellular phone. A control unit 200 in the hands-free communication equipment 20 starts the data communication with the cellular phone when the reception electric field strength measured by the electric field strength measurement section 204 is larger than a threshold.
