PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of practice and to avoid repeating monotonous practice. SOLUTION: A progress control part 5 automatically specifies a unit as a part of played music according to scheduled progress based upon playing data. Playing data of the specified unit is inputted to a keying indication part 6 and a keying indication is scrolled and displayed on a display 14. A mode switch L2 is provided to enable manual specification of a unit. When the manual specification is selected with the switch L2, an arbitrary unit can be specified by pressing a unit specification button L1 and then indicating the unit on the screen. With an interruption switch L4 pressed, a lesson menu is displayed and an arbitrary unit can be specified even in automatic mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
