<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate brake control capable of restraining hysteresis caused by an increase/decrease in braking operation force as much as possible, in a hydraulic brake device for a vehicle provided with a hydraulic supporting means. <P>SOLUTION: A first valve means (check valve 51, for example) which constantly cuts off a flow of brake fluid from a reaction force pressure chamber to a regulator chamber, and allows flow from the regulator chamber to the reaction force pressure chamber when the fluid pressure in the regulator chamber becomes larger than the fluid pressure in the reaction force pressure chamber by at an more than a first prescribed pressure, and a second valve means (check valve 52, for example) which constantly cuts off flow of the brake fluid from the regulator chamber to the reaction force pressure chamber and allows the flow from the reaction force pressure chamber to the regulator chamber when the fluid pressure in the reaction force pressure chamber becomes larger than the fluid pressure in the regulator chamber by at and more than a second prescribed pressure are provided between the reaction force pressure chamber R4 and the regulator chamber R3.
