<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a routing apparatus which can alleviate a load on a processor regarding routing and to provide a packet type identifying apparatus for identifying a packet type. <P>SOLUTION: The routing processing apparatus includes a packet information extracting means for extracting information of a range including at least one or more of specific information set on each packet format of a packet to be sorted, a packet type judging means for judging the packet type based on information of one or a plurality of positions of the information of an extracted range, a header imparting means for forming header information based on the judged result to impart the header information to the packet, a packet sorting means for sorting the packet based on the header information, and a routing processing means for routing processing at each packet type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
