<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail bracket which is commonly available for a projected corner and a recessed corner of a wall surface in a house, facilitates mounting of a pedestal thereof on a wall surface, is economical because a single type of the bracket is kept in stock, and excellent in strength and accuracy when mounted on a corner portion of the wall surface, and to provide a handrail mounting structure using the bracket. <P>SOLUTION: The bracket is commonly available for the projected corner and the recessed corner of the wall surface, and formed of the pedestal mounted on the projected corner or the recessed corner of the wall surface, and a support body mounted on the pedestal. The pedestal is formed of right and left symmetrical divided bodies which each have an inclined bottom surface, an upper surface and side surfaces. The bottom surface is formed of an inclined surface in parallel with the projected corner or the recessed corner of the wall surface. The upper surface is formed of a flat portion opposed to the bottom surface.
