PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform press-contacting force on the contact part of a developing blade with a developing roller while securing a sealing property on the end part of the developing blade and the end part of a developing roller, to prevent the generation of defects on an image, and to prevent the developing roller from being shaved by the developing blade. SOLUTION: One end edge of the developing blade 6 is indirectly fixed on a developing case 17 via a holder and a free end edge which is the other end edge is abutted on the developing roller 5 by required press-contact force. The portion of a developing case front plate which faces both the longitudinal direction side end parts of the roller 5 and the blade 6 constitutes a seal attaching part forming a seal attaching surface 21 and a doctor seal 7 and an end part seal 19 are stuck to the seal attaching surface 21. Since the end part seal is stuck close to the roller 5 and the doctor seal 7 is stuck close to the blade 6, the sealing property of the stuck parts can be held. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
