摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable having an optical fiber ribbon capable of reducing microbend loss, efficiently operating even in the outside of a temperature range of 0°C to -60°C and reducing the microbend loss in a wider temperature range and a wavelength area longer than 1,300nm. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable comprises an outside jacket and an optical fiber ribbon arranged in the jacket, the ribbon consists of a plurality of optical fibers and matrix coating of at least two different kinds is applied to each of the optical fibers. These coatings each have different characteristics and the two matrix coatings consists of undercoat and overcoat. The undercoat has a glass transition temperature in a range of about -60°C to about 150°C and the overcoat has a glass transition temperature in a range of about 90°C to about 150°C.
