PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve control mechanism capable of increasing a control responsiveness and reducing operation noises in the valve control mechanism controlling the opening and closing of at least one of the intake valve and exhaust valve of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This valve control mechanism comprises a camshaft having a pair of first cam and a second cam with different cam profiles, a first rocker arm 2 driven by the first cam, a second rocker arm 3 driven by the second cam, a connection pin 5 connecting the first rocker arm 2 to the second rocker arm 3, and a control rod 7 moving the connection pin 5. The control rod 7 comprises a slide member 71, a pair of stoppers 70a and 70b, and an elastic member 72 for each cylinder. Then, the slide member 71 and the pair of stoppers 70a and 70b are formed with a synthetic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
