PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure for a roof capable of supporting a support beam supporting a roof provided between main houses or the like so it can horizontally move with respect to fixed walls of the main houses or the like by an easy and inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: The support structure for the roof is provided with the support beam 4 holding the roof 1 provided between the mutually facing fixed walls 2b and 3b and supported by them. In the support beam, its end part 4a is held in a state capable of moving in a width direction and a longitudinal direction of the beam with respect to the fixed walls via a beam support member 11. The beam support member holds the end part of the support beam so the end part can move in the width direction of the beam, and it is elastically supported by energizing it by energizing means 12 provided on both sides. The beam support member supports the end part of the support beam so the end part can move in the longitudinal direction of the beam, and it is elastically supported by energizing means 13 interposed between it and the fixed walls on both sides.
