PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filing apparatus which is easily handled. SOLUTION: The filing device 5 freely increasingly and decreasingly binds a plurality of sheets 50 provided with a plurality of holes 51 on their one end parts. This filing apparatus 5 is provided with a binding member 53 having a plurality of rings 52 each provided with openings 52a to be inserted in and taken out the holes 51 of the sheets 50 and a belt-like member 54 being freely removably fitted to this binding member 53 and closing the openings 52a of a plurality of the rings 52. The belt-like member 54 is elastically deformed by a specified force and has hooking means 55 hooking on the end edge parts 52b of the openings 52a of a plurality of the rings 52 on both sides. When the belt-like member 54 is fitted on the binding member 53, after the belt-like member 54 is elastically deformed and the hooking means 55 on both sides are inserted into the openings 52a, the belt-like member 54 is restored to its original shape by its elasticity and the hooking means 55 are hooked on the end edge parts 52b of the openings 52a.
