PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preservation method for an ecosystem in a pond, by which the preservation of the ecosystem in the pond is locally actualized and the wide ecosystem of the whole pond is stably preserved and maintained. SOLUTION: The preservation method for the ecosystem comprises floating a floating body structure and accessory equipment 1 consisting of a first netlike body 20 for dividing the underwater under an artificial floating island 10 from a pond part of the outer periphery, a second netlike body 30 for dividing the divided water space into internal and external water spaces of a central water space 2 and an outer peripheral water space 3 and a feeding pipe 40 connected to a water inlet 42 for collecting phytoplanktons under the bottom of the artificial floating island 10 having sufficient buoyancy in a part of the pond. In the method, zooplanktons living in the central water space 2 are made to ingest the phytoplanktons supplied through the feeding pipe 40 to the central water space 2. The zooplanktons which grow, multiply and pass through the meshes of the second netlike body 30 are taken as a feed for small fishes living in the outer peripheral water space 3. Consequently, the small fishes, etc., grow and live in the outer peripheral water space 3 and the artificial floating island is enlarged to expand the preservation scale of the ecosystem in the pond.
