METHOD AND DEVICE FOR POSITIONING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

A method of accurately positioning two electronic components by measuring the positions thereof by capturing a mark means for positioning the two electronic components in the same view of a mark identification device, comprising the steps of holding the first electronic component, having two positioning holes provided at specified positions apart a specified distance from each other, on a support table, holding the second electronic component, having two alignment marks formed at specified positions so as to match the interval between the two positioning holes, on a position adjusting mechanism, capturing the alignment marks of the second electronic component in the same view of the mark identification device in the state of the alignment marks introduced into the positioning holes of the first electronic component, measuring the positions of both alignment marks, and adjusting the position of the second electronic component by the position adjusting mechanism so that the alignment mark of the second electronic component is brought into a specified positional relation in the two positioning holes of the first electronic component.
