Method for intraoperative generation of an actualized volume data set has the following method steps: recording of a series of 2D X-ray projections (P1-P3) of tissue of a patient; reconstruction of image information (KF1, KF2) of the tissue; intraoperative recording of a smaller number of 2D X-ray projections (PM1, PM3) after a change in position of the tissue area; and actualization of the original volume tissue data using the updated projections to replace the original 2D images for the corresponding projection and form a first updated volume data set (VA1). An Independent claim is made for a further method in which the intraoperative 2D X-ray projections are used to form a second volume data set. This is fused with the original volume data set to form a second update volume data set (VA2).
