The lantern has a base [12] and a top [14] both of which are circular and these are mechanically coupled using tie rods [16] that have threaded ends. A top cap section [22] has a series of ventilation holes for the candle placed on the base. Glass plates are inserted and locate in base grooves to act as a wind shield.
