PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring a shape of a standing wave of a tire is provided to measure the standing wave by using a portable digital camera instead of expensive optical equipment. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring a shape of a standing wave of a tire includes a rotating section(100), a rotation detecting section(200), a digital camera(300) and a computer system(400). The rotating section(100) has a rotating shaft(110) and a driving unit(120) for driving the rotating shaft(110). The tire is attached to an end of the rotating shaft(110). The rotation detecting section(200) has an encoder(210) installed at the other end of the rotating shaft(110) and a rotation detecting sensor(220). The digital camera(300) photographs an outer appearance of the tire. The computer system(400) has a controller(410) connected to the rotation detecting section(200).
