A jig for calcining an electronic component including a substrate and a zirconia surface layer formed on the substrate, wherein one of the skewness, the kurtosis, the central surface average roughness the wear resistance and the thermal shock resistance of the zirconia surface layer is specified to a certain range. Consequently, the jig for calcining the electronic component can efficiently conduct the calcination without deteriorating the properties of the electronic component to be calcined.
