<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainproof lighting fixture of a good appearance preventing lowering of light quantity due to rainwater trapped on a translucent panel and preventing degradation of a waterproof material. <P>SOLUTION: A lighting fixture body 1 has a frame 2 with a square glass panel 4 fitted in an opening mounted on the top face of a case 3, inside which, a double-based HID lamp 11 insertion-fitted to a lamp socket 10 is arranged, and the fixture body is made waterproof with a packing so as not to allow water infiltrating from a gap between the glass panel 4 and the frame 2, a top part of which is covered with the frame 2 for the entire peripheral face. The frame 2 is formed by a groove part 2b with a bottom face 2a continued from the top face of the glass panel 4 through a notched part of the packing and with both sides open, and an outer shell 2c covering an upper part of the notched part of the packing with a space left, and the fixture body 1 is fitted aslant so that a left end of the top face of the glass panel 4 is higher than a right end, and the top face of the glass panel is slanted as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
