PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for guiding a musical performance so that a musical sound is properly generated with a wind instrument by blowing a breath. SOLUTION: A breath LED group 305 includes three LEDs indicating respective operations of breathing in, breathing out, and stopping breathing. A ROM 302 is stored with musical performance guide data having event data indicating such breathing operations. A CPU 301 reads object musical performance guide data out of the ROM 302 and processes it when a user indicates the start of a musical performance guide by operating a start/stop switch. Consequently, the three LEDs are made to individually illuminate or put out lights to guide breathing operations which should be done during the musical performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
