<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible board capable of securing an appropriate insulation distance between contacts and enabled to be manufactured with ease and be miniaturized by arranging a plurality of contacts to be built in in a housing in dispersion in zigzag both in a plane direction and a height direction. <P>SOLUTION: The connector for the flexible board has its mounting slot opened at a front face side and a housing with a plurality of contacts arranged in parallel in a left and right direction connected and fixed in contact with a conductive tip part of the flexible board toward inside of the mounting slot. An arrangement position of the contacts arrayed in parallel in the left and right direction is divided into two rows of front and rear, and each contact of the front and rear rows is arrayed in zigzag, of which, outer end parts of the contacts at the front row are made protruded toward the front face side of the housing and outer end parts of those at the rear row are made protruded toward a rear face side of the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
