PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which does not give rise to fogging in spite of recursive printing, can form good images free of dark dots, bright dots and halftone white stripes, has stable electrostatic charge quantity, has no increase of the electrostatic charge quantity in low temperature and low humidity, has long lifetime of a developer, has excellent preservability, obviates the detachment of external additives, has high-speed transferability and high adaptability to a cleanerless process, and an image forming method using the electrostatic charge image developing toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner containing at least a resin, coloring matter and metal oxide particles containing two or more metal elements is characterized in that the metal oxide particles have a domain matrix structure, that the matrix is amorphous and that the domains have crystals.
