PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of the insufficient adhesiveness of a polyimide to provide the polyimide having the excellent adhesiveness. SOLUTION: This polyimide is characterized in that the content of all halogens in the polyimide is <50 ppm converted into chlorine, and further in that the content of bromine as a halogen is <20 ppm.
