PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight and cost, to reduce load of a molding die, and to improve appearance of an outer peripheral terminal in an interior component for an automobile and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An interior component (door trim upper) 20 comprises a lightweight foamed resin base material 21 having shape retention, a resin rib 22 integrally laminated on the inner surface side, and a film 23 laminated on the surface of the foamed resin base material 21. By using the lightweight foamed resin base material 21 and reducing projection area of the resin rib 22, the weight and cost are reduced. The outer peripheral terminal is compressed in a flat shape to form a compressed flat part A when molding the foamed resin base material 21, and the compressed flat part A is then trim-cut to make the cut end inconspicuous from the outside. Otherwise, by winding the compressed flat part as a wound part 24, appearance of the outer peripheral terminal is improved and rigidity is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
