<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a higher flexibility of a web expansion device concerning a guide which enables performance of a web. <P>SOLUTION: Web strand (Bl and Br) are opened as wide as a given amount (X) parallel by coiling onto diverting means (5l, 6l, 5r and 6r). At least one of left side diverting means (5l and 6l) and at least one of right side diverting means (5r and 6r) are attached adjustable on a frame through respective adjusting channels in order to adjust an expansion amount. Through the adjusting channels, one of the second diverting means (6l or 6r) is movable toward the other of the second diverting means (6l or 6r) and/or one of the first diverting means is movable toward the other of the first diverting means. Therefore length of a strand between left side diverting means (5l and 6l) is to be different from that of right side diverting means (5r and 6r). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
