<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polarizing film in which luminance in a room can be improved and visibility in outdoors can be improved and to provide a polarizing light source device and a liquid crystal display device, which use the film and are superior in visibility. <P>SOLUTION: An absorption-type polarizing film 21 and a reflection-type polarizing film 22 are laminated so that polarizing transmission axes of both films become almost parallel. The laminated polarizing film 10 where a phase difference layer 23 having positive biaxial orientation is laminated is provided for a reflection-type polarizing film 22-side. A light diffusion layer 24 can be laminated in any position. A light source member having a light guide plate 52 and the like and a reflection plate 53 are arranged on a phase difference layer 23-side of the laminated polarizing film 10, and the polarizing light source device 64 is obtained. A liquid crystal cell 30 and a front side absorption-type polarizing film 41 are arranged on a laminated polarizing film 10-side, and the liquid crystal display device 65 is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
