<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate change of optical property of a fitted phase difference plate even if a polarizing plate is used for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate which has an adhesive layer, a phase difference plate with optical anisotropy, a 1st transparent protecting film, a linearly polarizing film, and a 2nd transparent protecting film in this order or an adhesive layer, a phase difference plate with optical anisotropy which serves as a 1st transparent protecting film, a linearly polarizing film, and a 2nd transparent protecting film in this order uses the adhesive layer such that the moisture penetration amount of the whole structure excluding the adhesive layer and phase difference plate from the polarizing plate is ≤5 g/m<SP>2</SP>/day and the adhesive layer has adhesive strength larger than a 20N/25 mm width and hardness higher than 2N/mm<SP>2</SP>after the layer is hardened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
