PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce various allyl compounds by using a new catalyst system exhibiting enough high activity even on an oxygen nucleophile of which the reactivity is low, and reacting a raw material compound for the allyl compound with the oxygen nucleophile. SOLUTION: The raw material compound for the allyl compound is reacted with the oxygen nucleophile having a structure other than that of the raw material compound for the allyl compound in the presence of a catalyst containing one or more transition metal compounds and a monodentate phosphite compound, wherein the transition metal compound is formed out of a metal selected from a group comprising transition metals belonging to the 8 to 10 groups in the periodic table, and the monodentate phosphite compound has a structure expressed by general formula (1): P(OR<SP>1</SP>)(OR<SP>2</SP>)(OR<SP>3</SP>) (R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each an alkyl which may be substituted, provided that one or more carbon-carbon double bonds or triple bonds may exist in carbon chains of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>, and further that two or more groups arbitrarily selected from R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, and R<SP>3</SP>may together form one or more ring structures).
