PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily fix a baggage regardless of the size and form of the baggage in an article fixing device fixing the baggage loaded on a baggage room of an automobile or the like. SOLUTION: The device has a slenderly formed body case 4 and a slender member 6 consisting of a flexible rope or the like inserted into the through hole 5 in the case interior. A part of the slender member 6 is pulled out from an opening 7 formed on the body case 4, and the baggage is fixed by hanging the lock member fixed to the fixing rope stretched over the baggage at the part pulled out. Since the part 10 of the slender member pulled out from the opening 7 can be stored in the case body 4 when the article fixing device 3 is not used, the article fixing device 3 may not be a hindrance.
