PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain newα-glucosidase for efficiently forming anα-1,3-glucoside bond, with which an oligosaccharide such as nigerooligosaccharide containing anα-1,3-glucoside bond, etc., and a glycoside are efficiently produced, to provide a method for producing the newα-glucosidase and to obtain a new strain useful for the production. SOLUTION: Theα-glucosidase acts on a glucide containing anα-1,4-glucoside bond at a nonreducing end to form anα-1,3-glucoside bond by transglucosylation but not anα-1,6-glucoside bond. The method for producing theα-glucosidase comprises culturing a fungus belonging to the genus Acremonium and collecting theα-glucosidase from the obtained culture.
