PURPOSE: A melody candle is provided, to allow the message or sound to be recorded to a candle and to be played when a candle is lighted. CONSTITUTION: The melody candle comprises candle provided with a wick where an optical fiber(5) is inserted; a stand(1) combined with the lower part of the candle; and a sound device(6) contained in the stand. The sound device(6) comprises a control part(7) which controls the operation of input and output means and the signal treatment; a play part(8) which contains a magnetic head and a tape transmission device recording and playing the message and the sound; an input part(9) which contains an external sound input device connecting an external device (a microphone) with the play part(8); an output part(13) which contains a speaker(10) generating the amplified message or sound by the control signal of the control part(7); and a power part(12) which supplies the electric power.
