PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving data in a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) is provided to achieve multi-tasking by sending an access grant request signal to a base station through an allocated channel, when a PDA is in a busy state or is transmitting and receiving data, and by enabling data to be transmitted and received through the previous or next channel of the allocated channel. CONSTITUTION: If a PDA, executing a call, Internet access or data communication through a specific channel allocated from a base station, transmits an access grant request signal for another channel to the base station through the allocated channel, the base station outputs a channel setup signal to the PDA in order to additionally allocate an adjacent channel to the PDA. Receiving the channel setup signal, the PDA executes multi-tasking to start another Internet access or data transmission/reception using the additionally allocated channel at the same time. |
