PURPOSE: A monochrome CRT is provided to maintain soft-flash effect due to a built-in graphite film by preventing a Ba film generated in a getter flashing process from contacting to the built-in graphite film. CONSTITUTION: A monochrome CRT comprises a tube(8), a built-in graphite film(20), an electron gun(12), and an inorganic insulating layer. The tube includes a face panel(2) having an inner surface in where a phosphor screen(10) and an aluminum reflection film are formed, a funnel(4) connected to the rear of the face panel, and a neck part(6). The built-in graphite film is formed on the inner surface of the funnel and the neck part, and connected to the aluminum reflection film in order to share an anode voltage. The electron gun is mounted on the inside of the neck part for emitting electron beams toward the phosphor screen and includes a final electrode connected electrically to the built-in graphite film through a contact spring, and a getter supporting body(24) attached to the front surface of the final electrode. The inorganic insulating layer is formed on the built-in graphite film for insulating a Ba film from the built-in graphite film.
