<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal unit which has a moving picture shooting mode requiring small consumption currents, can execute the moving picture shooting mode even when the case of the unit is closed to make it compact, and detects a microphone being covered with an object at the moving picture shooting mode and increases the input gain of the microphone. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal unit comprises a means for selecting a display location of a moving picture at the moving picture shooting mode, and displays the moving picture on a rear LCD5 consuming a little currents at that mode. The terminal unit also includes a folding switch S13 for detecting the opening or closing of the case, executes a moving picture shooting even if the case is closed to make the unit compact, and makes memories 6, 10 store a moving picture and an audio signal while displaying a message telling the moving picture shooting is in progress, or the moving picture, on the rear LCD5.
