<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer control unit that simplifies the print job setting. <P>SOLUTION: This control unit displays an icon corresponding to the job setting in a display column A, invokes the job setting by specifying the icon and makes the printer print according to the job setting. When the job setting is made by inputting specification in the display column B and the "O.K." is clicked, the control unit checks if the same job setting is present in the job setting registration table.
