<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a cartridge and a storage medium which can prevent the efficiency of primary transfer from being reduced independently of the number of integrated prints of the image forming apparatus by electrostatically charging, removing and recovering a remaining developer left on the surface of an intermediate transfer member. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for electrostatically charging a remaining developer left on the surface of the intermediate transfer member 9, transferring the remaining developer from the intermediate transfer member 9 to an image carrier 1, removing the remaining developer by an image carrier developer removing member, and performing cleaning simultaneously with transfer is provided with an image carrier integration means 25 for counting the integrated rotational frequency of the image carrier 1 from the start of its use, an intermediate transfer member integration means 26 for counting the integrated rotational frequency of the intermediate transfer member 9 from the start of its used and an electrostatic charge integration means 27 for counting the integrated rotational frequency of an electrostatic charging means 23 from the start of its use.
