<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the engagement response from deteriorating even when a friction plate of the multiplate clutch is worn out. <P>SOLUTION: This multiplate clutch 52 comprises a lever 50 mounted between a clutch inner part 37 and a clutch outer part 38, and a retaining groove 50a formed on the lever 50 for retaining a steel ball 51 has a slant face R. When a power point P1 of the lever 50 is drawn in the right direction by the clutch inner part 37, the lever 50 is oscillated anticlockwise around a fulcrum P2, and a left end clutch plate 45 is pressed by a point of application P3 through the steel ball 51 to engage the multiplate clutch 52. When a friction material 47 of the clutch disc 46 is worn out and a gap is increased, the steel ball 51 energized by centrifugal force is radially moved outward from a position of a solid line to a position of a chained line, whereby the gap is narrowed, and the impairing of the response in engagement of the multiplate clutch 52 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
