<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display high quality video by suppressing deterioration of a picture quality when video data of a digital broadcast signal is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: In the first deterioration status that an RS error or a macro block error of a Reed Solomon code occurs and video is deteriorated while the digital broadcast signal composed in the MPEG compression system is received, decoded video data are created and displayed out by using an intra-frame encoded image (I picture) and an inter-frame forward prediction-encoded image (P picture). In the second deterioration status that the video deterioration becomes worse, the decoded image data are created by using the intra-frame encoded image (I picture) and in the third deterioration status further worse than the second deterioration status, image data of excellent picture quality stored in a memory beforehand are read to output a complete still picture or video display-out is stopped. When the normal digital broadcasting signal is received continuously for predetermined time and recovery security is improved, arithmetic processing of video data is stopped for recovery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
