PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core which has an outer peripheral surface improved in its slip resistance value and prevents a film from slipping during winding or prevents the core from coming off from a raw film roll obtained by winding the film, a core embossing method and a device using this method. SOLUTION: Embossed patterns 2 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of a thermoplastic resin tube 12 especially in narrow width along the axial direction of the resin tube 12. In addition, the embossed patterns 2 are formed by rotating a heated embossing roll 7 to press the outer peripheral surface of the resin tube 12. The core embossing device 10 comprises a cylinder 8 arranged orthogonally with respect to the axial direction of the conveyed thermoplastic resin tube 12, the embossing roll 7 rotatably fitted to the tip of the rod 81 of the cylinder 8 and a heater 9 which heats the surface of the embossing roll 7.
