PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a navigation system acquiring various kinds of information or receiving various functional services by employing a communication terminal mounting a communication means in which information can be provided (display, sound output) to a user unconsciously of the connecting state of the communication means and operation can progress with good response. SOLUTION: When information stored in a storage means 23 at an information center 20 is acquired through a line connecting a communication means 12 mounted on a vehicle mounted terminal 10 and a communication means 21 in the information center 20, processing for initiating connection with the line of the information center is started previously upon transition to a specified content on a display means 11 mounted on the vehicle mounted terminal 10. At a moment when information is transmitted actually from the vehicle mounted terminal 10 side to the information center 20 side, the information can be transmitted immediately through a line which has finished connection.
