PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize downsizing and cost reduction of a contact device. SOLUTION: A movable contact piece 3 is supported to a contact piece 4 in free swinging around an axis of a normal line direction of a flat surface passing through a central axis of springs 8a and 8b, and a distance between a first contact part 17 and the movable contact piece 3 is shorter than a distance between a second contact part 18 and the movable contact piece 3 at the time of a bonding status between contact points. With this, when the contact points of the two pairs are separated, a thrust force to separate the contact points acts as a force to tear off its welding between a first fixed contact point 14 and a first movable contact point 11 mainly in the first half of the operation, and to tear off its welding between a second fixed contact point 12 and a second movable contact point 13 mainly in the second half of the operation, so that a thrust force of a contact piece driving device 15 necessary for tearing off the welding between the contact points can be reduced, therefore, a contact device can be downsized and reduced in cost.
