PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensitive sensor composed compactly, having excellent handleability and mounting workability, and capable of detecting seating in a wide range when installed on a sitting seat. SOLUTION: A sensor body 3 of this pressure sensitive sensor 1 is equipped with a plurality of separated members 11 constituted from a material having elasticity and insulation property and disposed at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sensor body 3, and first and second conductive members 13, 15 provided so as to run through the plurality of separated members 11 on the upper face side and the lower face side of the plurality of separated members 11. When a stress is applied, both conductive members 13, 15 can be brought into electrical contact with each other through an interval part S between the separated members 11 following elastic compressive deformation of the separated members 11 caused by the stress.
